Last year at the 2024 ACC Championships, Owen Lloyd won the 1,650 Freestyle but then was DQed for celebrating with his teammate in his teammate’s lane before all the other competitors in the race had finished.
Back for his 5th year of eligibility and one year wiser, Owen Lloyd swam in the final of the 1,650 Free last night in Greensboro, again taking the win, and this time it stuck. Lloyd discusses the surreal year he has had and how satisfying it is to finally call himself an ACC Champion.
