BALTIMORE, MD – Johns Hopkins men’s and women’s coach Scott Armstrong announced two additions to the Blue Jay coaching staff today. JHU welcomes Chris Pospisil and Mikaylie DePalma to Homewood.

“We are excited to welcome Chris and Mikaylie to the Hopkins swim family,” Armstrong said. “From the start, their energy and character stood out and they will add so many great qualities to our team.”

Pospisil joins the Blue Jays from the Eagle Swim Club in Baltimore, where he was an assistant to the National Team Training Group, Senior Performance Group and Senior Group. Prior to his time with the Eagles, he was an assistant coach at Desert Mountain High School and the Scottsdale Aquatic Club in Scottsdale, AZ. He also had assistant coaching stints at the University of South Dakota and College of Saint Mary.

Pospisil earned both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Kinesiology and Sport Management from South Dakota. He was a member of the Coyotes’ swim team from 2015 to 2019 and was a two-time captain.

DePalma comes to Baltimore from St. Joseph’s University, where she spent last season as an assistant coach for the Golden Eagles. She has also served as a swim coach and counselor for camps at the US Naval Academy and Texas A&M. DePalma is a 2022 graduate of Stony Brook University with a degree in Business Marketing.
